June is Cancer Survivor Month. This is “Not Forgotten”. So often breast cancer survivors are shown as strong, tough, defiant. Especially if the person chose not to have reconstructive surgery. A woman’s ability and opportunity to be just herself. To be soft, to be sexy, is often stripped from her, whether intentionally or not.
A woman without breasts is still a woman. She is still strong and soft and sexy. She is still herself in whatever way she wants to show it.
